JAMMU, July 8: A young girl was raped in her house by a neighbour at Suraksha Vihar, Paloura Top under the jurisdiction of Janipura police station.
Police said the girl was alone in the house as her family members had gone to hospital to enquire condition of their relative. The boy, Arvind Kumar intruded into the house and raped the girl.
On return, the family members found the girl lying unconscious and informed police. Police have recorded statement of the girl and got her medical examination conducted. A rape case has been registered against the youth at Janipura police station. He was absconding. Police was making efforts to nab him.
