UDHAMPUR, Apr 14: A young girl died after she slipped into a deep gorge in a forest area in village Bari Ramnagar, here today.
Reports said that the dead body of Kailasho Devi (19), daughter of Gian Chand, resident of Bari, Tehsil Ramnagar, was spotted this morning in village Bari in a gorge around 300 ft deep. After being informed by some locals, SHO Ramnagar, Inspector Purab Singh reached the spot along with the police team. Later, the body was shifted to the mortuary room of Sub District Hospital Ramnagar.
According to family members of the deceased girl, she had gone to the forest area early this morning for grazing goats and accidently slipped into a deep ditch.
Police have initiated inquest proceedings under 194 BNSS and started further investigations.
