RAJOURI, Apr 24: The dead body of a young girl was recovered from the bank of a nallah in Manjakote area of district Rajouri today.
The deceased has been identified as 25-year-old Ulfat Begum, daughter of Mohd Sharief, resident of Hayatpura, in Manjakote. The police said the girl was missing since late last evening. Today morning, a villager noticed the body lying at the bank of a nalah in the area and informed locals. The villagers had already assembled there when the police team arrived on the spot.
The body was sent for postmortem to hospital and inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC were initiated by police.
