REASI, Aug 19: A young housewife attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at the house of her in-laws at Kotli in Katra.
According to Police, Asha (28), wife of Jai Mal Singh of Kotli, consumed poisonous substance and was shifted to CHC Katra where she was referred to GMC Hospital Jammu for further treatment.
Cause of provocation could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a middle aged woman died after she fell from a hillock while cutting grass in a remote area of Chassana, last evening.
The deceased was identified as Shameem Begum (40), wife of Baj Khan, who was cutting grass when she suddenly slipped from the slope near her Dhok and died on the spot.
