UDHAMPUR, July 2: A young housewife committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at the house of her in-laws in Chenani.
According to Police, 25 year old Deepa Devi, wife of Hardeep Singh of village Narda in Chenani, consumed some poisonous substance at her residence. The family members noticed her in serious condition and rushed her to Chenani Hospital.
The doctors washed her stomach but she did not respond to the treatment and died after some time.
Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained immediately while Police had registered a case in this connection.
Meanwhile, a six year old baby girl and her four year old brother accidentally consumed some poisonous substance at their house at Sambal Dangh in Udhampur.
The victims, identified as Sunita (6), daughter of Som Raj of Sambal Dangh and her brother Rinku, were rushed him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred them to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of their serious condition.
Reports from Ramnagar said that a young house wife accidentally received severe electric shock and was referred to GMC Hospital Jammu.
The victim was identified as Gita Devi (25), wife of Ajeet Singh of village Banta in Ramnagar.
Meanwhile, the man, who was found dead near BDO Office Chenani under mysterious circumstance, was identified today as Nilam Singh (45), son of Krishan Singh of Bashat Chenani.
