UDHAMPUR, Jan 9: A young man attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances near his residence in Lambi Gali, Udhampur Town. According to police, one Sandeep Singh (36) son of Dev Raj of Chack Pakhlai in Udhampur district, presently putting up at Lambi Gali in Udhampur, consumed some poisons substance this evening and fell unconscious. Locals shifted him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors repeatedly washed his stomach. He was responding to the treatment and his condition was stated to be stable. Cause behind the provocation could not be ascertained.
