UDHAMPUR, Feb 14: A young man committed suicide by jumping into Dudar river near Garnai By Pass, National Highway Udhampur.
The deceased was identified as Ankur Gupta (32), son of Chander Parkash Gupta, resident of Adarsh Colony Udhampur. The reasons for suicide could not be ascertained.
Inspector Paramjeet Singh, SHO Police Station Rehmbal, said that after getting information from some eyewitnesses, Police reached the spot and fished out the youth from the river, who was in unconscious condition. He was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Police has registered the case and started investigation.
