Young man drowns

RAJOURI, June 13: A 32-year man, working as engineer in a private company in Delhi drowned in a nallah at Dalogra village this afternoon.
Identified as Dalbir Kant, son of  Krishan Lal, resident of Dangri village in Rajouri, he had come to his home on leave. He had come to a local temple of their `Kuldevi’ at Dalogra along with other family members. As he went to take bath to the nearby nallah, he slipped into deep water and could not come out.
The family members raised alarm and locals gathered there. The police party led by SHO also reached there and they started search operation.
Later, SSP Rajouri Dr Haseeb Mughal and Addl DC, Rajouri Mumtaz also reached to supervise the operation carried out by the police divers. It started raining and the operation was also affected for some time. But the body could not be traced till late this evening.
