UDHAMPUR, Mar 14: A young man, who seemed to have committed suicide, was found hanging from a tree in forest area at Mand in Tikri, here today.
Reports said that Gulam Rasool (31), son of Mohammad Shafi of Mand, was found hanging from a tree in forest area under mysterious circumstances. The hanging body was spotted by some locals, who immediately informed the Rehambal Police Station.
A Police team shifted the dead body to District Hospital Udhampur for postmortem after which it was handed over to family members of the deceased for burial.
Even as Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation, it appeared to be a case of suicide.
