KATHUA, June 6: A young man was knocked to death by an unidentified vehicle near Lakhanpur toll post in the wee hours today while a motorcyclists was injured when his bike collided with a load carrier near Maheswar at Samba.
Reports said that one Gopal Singh (35), son of Man Singh of Tarara, Kathua, was found dead on the road near Lakhanpur Toll Post, early in the morning. He was apparently knocked to death by a vehicle. The deceased was working as Transport agent.
Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, one Rahul Sharma (22), son of Bharat Bhushan of Ghagwal, was injured when his motorcycle collided with a load carrier near Maheswar. He was shifted to District Hospital Samba where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu for advanced treatment.
