MENDHAR, Oct 3: The dead body of a young man, who was believed to be murdered was recovered from a nallah in Mendhar area of district Poonch today.
The deceased has been identified as 30 year-old Abdul Salam, son of Mohd Rafiq resident of Dugrian in Surankote. He was presently residing at Mendhar. The villager was said to be missing from his house for the last 4-5 days.
Today his dead body with some wounds was recovered from a nallah of Dhar Galoon. Some tipper operators who had gone to the nallah along with labour to fetch stones noticed the body and informed police. Mendhar police shifted the body to local hospital for postmortem and later handed over to relatives after legal course. The police said that from circumstances it appears that man has been done to death. Inquest proceedings under Section 174 CrPC have been launched.
