KATHUA, Jan 29: The two -days Young Startup conclave organised by CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine, Jammu as part of Äzadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and to promote Startup ecosystem concluded here today. The two days mega event held in Government Degree College, Kathua, which was inaugurated yesterday by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State independent charge of Science and Technology, attracted huge crowd of students drawn from various degree colleges and schools of Kathua district, entrepreneurs, investors, industry leaders, scientists, researchers, bio-incubators, manufacturers, regulators and members of civil society on the second day today.
An overwhelming response of visitors has been seen today as well as more than 800 visitors visited the exhibition and witnessed the demonstration of innovations driven ideas some startups and the products and technologies developed by few of them.
In this Young Startup Conclave, which was mainly focused to inspire the youths and provide them a nice platform to showcase their innovations, total of 49 StartUps participated from across the UT of Jammu and Kashmir.
Students from various Government Degree Colleges of Kathua district actively participated in the event.
Some of the prominent StartUps those took part in the Expo were- Anmol Shakti Farmer Producer Company Ltd, Paradox Sonic space research association (PSSR India), Himalayan Essential Oils Producer Company Ltd., JK Aroma Ltd. Pahadi Amrit, Samast Eco Alternatives Pvt. Ltd. Velanutrition Nutraceuticals Pvt. Ltd., JMD Herbal Pharmaceuticals, SRANAS POC Pvt Ltd. Himpure Bioagri Products Pvt. JP Life Science, Haldi Gem, Haldi Aachar, Kashmel Agro. Greenson Himalayan Buckwheat Rugosa, Chenab Valley Zaitoon Tel ltd. The stalls were put by various degree colleges of the district.
At conclusion of Young Startup Conclave, valedictory programme was held in which Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia, Principal, GDC , Kathua was the chief guest and Dr. Zabeer Ahmed, Chief Scientist, CSIR-IIIM, Jammu presided over.
Drawing and painting competition, on the theme Start-up India, was organised for students, in which about 50 students from various schools and colleges. Monika Mehta from GDC, Kathua won the first prize while the second prize was won by Lovely Thakur of GDC, Ramkot. Further, students from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Samba, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Hiranagar and BVM, Hiranagar demonstrated 14 science models during the conclave.
The event was organised under patronage of Dr. D. Srinivasa Reddy, Director CSIR-IIIM, Jammu and overall supervision of Er. Abdul Rahim, Dr. Zabeer Ahmed (Chief Scientists), Dr Sandip Bharate, Dr. Asha Chaubey, Dr. Shashank Singh, Dr. Dhiraj Vyas, Dr. Tasduq Abdullah, Dr. Sumit G Gandhi (Sr. Principal Scientist), Dr. Deepika Singh and Saurabh Saran (Principal Scientists), Daleep Gehlot, Store & Purchase Officer and Rajesh Gupta, Administrative Officer.
