RAJOURI, Nov 22: A local court has declared 14 people including a woman hailing from various areas of Kotranka sub division of Rajouri district as proclaimed offenders and initiated action against them who had gone to Pakistan many years ago to become terrorists but have not returned till date.
According to the information, Munsif Judicial Magistrate First Class Kotranka issued an order stating that SHO Kotranka Ibrar Khan had filed an application and sought permission from the court to declare one woman and 13 other people as proclaimed offenders and take action against them, against whom a case was registered in the year 2011 under 2/3 AMICO (Aggression and Internal Movement (Control) Ordinance and till now their whereabouts are not known.
Despite issuing warrants against them repeatedly, they have not been arrested yet, because these people have not returned to their homes for the last several years. At the same time, considering the seriousness of the case, the court has issued warrants against persons namely– Khadim Hussain, son of Dil Mohd hailing from Kandi; Mohd Sharief, son of Ismail, resident of Larkuti; Sobhat Ali, son of Fateh Mohd from Larkuti; Mohd Aslam, son of Ibrahim from Larkuti; . Hakam Jaan, wife of Mohd Aslam from Larkuti; Mohd Iqbal, son of Lantha; from Larkuti; Noorani, son of Missri from Larkuti; Mohd Azam, son of Mohd Shafi from Gura Sarkri; Gulzar, son of Makhna, from Gura Sarkri; Gulam Husain , son of Nazir Hussain from Peeri; Muneer Hussain, son of Said Mohd from Gakhrote; Mohd Shabir, son of Faqir Mohd from Panjanara; Kala, son of Missri from Dharsakri and Zabir Hussain, son of Abdul from Kanthol. They are absconder in the Challan title “State V/s Khadim Hussain & Others” in FIR No. 14/2011 u/s 2/3 EMICO.
The Magistrate has issued instructions to all of them to surrender themselves to the police or present themselves before the court within the next 30 days and has given a strict warning that if all these 14 people do not surrender themselves to the police or present themselves before the court within 30 days, then all their movable and immovable property would be confiscated.
Today, Kotranka police played drums in the market of Kotranka and photographed all these 14 people declaring them as proclaimed offenders and gave them a strict warning to present themselves before the court within 30 days.
