UDHAMPUR, July 18: An unidentified young woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Khoon Nallah in tehsil Majalta, here today while a man was attacked by bear at village Kutyar in Panchari
Reports said that dead body of an unidentified woman in the age group of 27-28 years, was found in Khoon Nallah, this morning. The deceased was apparently killed and thrown in the Nallah.
The body was spotted by some locals this morning around 11 a.m and on being informed, Police rushed to the spot. After examination of the spot and taking photographs, the body was shifted to PHC Majalta for postmortem.
A case in this connection has been registered for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a man was critically injured in attack by bear at village Kutyar in Panchari area of District Udhampur.
The victim, identified as Bashir Ahmad (35), son of Yousuf Gujjar of Chulna Panchari, was returning home from forest area after grazing domestic animals when the bear suddenly attacked him. People took the injured to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu in view of his serious condition.
