Young Writers Guild organizes ‘Afsana Mehfil’

JAMMU, May 18: Continuing its online literary programmes during the ongoing lockdown, the Young Writers Guild Jammu (YWGJ) today organized an “Afsana Mehfil” (A short story session) here, through videoconferencing.
“The function was attended by a galaxy of literary persons based at Jammu and Chandigarh. ML Pandita, a renowned fiction writer presided over the function while Kundan Paras conducted the proceedings of the function,” said YWGJ in a statement issued here.
The programme began with the recitation of a Bhajan by a young girl, Srushti Raina. This was followed by the talk of Avtar Hugami, a renowned short story writer who threw light on the historical background and modalities of the short story writing. The writers who presented their short stories included Er Vinod Kumar, Rinko Koul, Vijay Wali and Vijay Sagar.
In his presidential address, ML Pandita gave feedback on each short story presented by the writers. He also appreciated the efforts of Young Writers Guild for organizing such programmes.
