Youth arrested for bid to outrage modesty of minor girl

SAMBA, Mar 18: In its quick action Samba police has arrested a youth who attempted to outrage the modesty of a minor girl of five years of age in border village of Bainglar falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba.
SHO, Samba Inspector, Shivdev Singh said that police soon after receiving the report swung into action and arrested the youth who reportedly has made a bid to outrage the modesty of a minor girl.
Police said that the incident happened previous day at border village, Bain camp in district Samba, when a youth of the village namely Sikander Kumar, son of Des Raj resident of Bainglad tried to outrage the modesty of a five year old girl when she had gone to market. After returning home the girl narrated this to her parents, police added.
Police said the parents of the girl immediately reported at concerned Police Post where a complaint was registered against the accused. Police immediately swung into the action and arrested the youth. Inspector Shivdev Singh, SHO Police Station Samba constituted a team headed by Sub Inspector, Chetan Kumar Chwoki Officer, Rakh Ambli Talli and the team raided at village Bainglad and arrested the accused.
In this regard Police has registered a case under relevant sections including 363, 376,511 RPC and POSCO Act in Police Station Samba and started further investigation.
