JAMMU, Oct 3: Miran Sahib police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a youth along with heroin.
As per police sources, based on reliable information, a team from Miran Sahib Police Station laid a naka at Darsopur and intercepted a motorcycle bearing registration number JK02BH-8443.
During checking, police recovered one gram heroin, one insulin syringe, one cigarette lighter, one spoon and rolled currency note of Rs 10 from the possession of the rider and arrested him.
The arrested youth has been identified as Rajat Kumar, son of Satish Kumar Bhagat, a resident of Darsopur.
A case under FIR Number 137/17 under Section 8/21/11 NDPS Act has been registered at Miran Sahib Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib Inspector Ravinder Rakwal and assisted by Incharge Kulian Police Post ASI Yougal Kishore made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Surinder Choudhary, SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
