JAMMU, Apr 9: A youth attacked a girl with sharp edged weapon, causing grievous injuries to her in Galwade chak area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gajansoo police post.
Police spokesman said that, Neetu, daughter of Darshan Lal of Galwade Chak, was alone at her home, when a youth barged into the house and attacked the girl with sharp edged weapon, causing serious injuries to her.
The girl was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where her condition was stated to be out of danger, when last reports came in, he added.
A case has been registered at Gajansoo police post and manhunt has been launched to arrest the accused, who was still at large.
