UDHAMPUR, Oct 15: A youth attempted suicide by consuming poison under mysterious circumstances at his house in village Sayal, Udhampur.
According to the police report, Mohd Aslam (26), son of Mohd Ayoub of Sayal Udhampur, consumed some poisonous substance and became semi-un-conscious. Family members rushed him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu in serious condition.
Cause of provocation could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, a 15-year old boy was injured when the bike, he was riding, skidded off the road at main market Chassana.
The injured biker, identified as Balbir Singh, son of Chain Singh of Thalkote in tehsil Chassana, was shifted to District Hospital Reasi after providing him first aid at Chassana.
