UDHAMPUR, Apr 23: A youth attempted suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in village Baradia in Udhampur while two teenagers were injured in a road accident at By Pass road National Highway.
According to the police reports, Deepak Kumar (26) son of Ram Dayal of village Baradia, consumed some poisonous substance under mysterious circumstances at his home late last night. The family members noticed him in serious condition and rushed him to District Hospital Udhampur, where doctors referred him GMC Jammu.
Cause of provocation could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
Meanwhile, two youth were injured when the Alto car, they were traveling in , skidded off the road at By Pass National Highway Udhampur.
The Alto car, bearing registration number JK19-3002, was on its way from Jammu to Ramban. Locals took the injured persons to District Hospital Udhampur. The injured were identified as Mamhud Mazid (18), son of Mazid and Mohmed Imran (18) son of Bashir Ahmed of Ramban.
