JAMMU, Dec 1: A 27-year-old youth made an abortive suicide bid by hanging himself at his residence in Old Satwari area of city outskirts.
“Sunny son of Ramesh Lal, resident of Rihaan Mohalla Hakal (Old Satwari, Jammu) allegedly hanged self from a ceiling fan (with the help of scarf) at his residence,” police sources said.
They said, however, family members timely noticed him hanging from the fan and immediately rescued him and shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was undergoing treatment.
The condition of the youth was stated to be critical when the last reports came. Chatha Police had taken cognizance of the matter.
