JAMMU, Dec 5: Gandhi Nagar police has registered a case of cheating against Ranjodh Singh Nalwa following complaints that he was doing the Government job and pursuing the degree of Law from Jammu University at the same time.
The FIR has been registered under Sections 420, 467 and 469 RPC for further investigations.
Police said they acted on a complaint and after verifications registered the FIR against Nalwa as his academic record established that he was doing the Government job in the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu and pursuing a degree from the Jammu University at the same time, which amounted to cheating.
Police parties headed by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Paramjit Singh have started investigations in the case. However, no arrests have been made so far.
