UDHAMPUR, May 31: A youth ended life by hanging himself after consuming poison at his house in village Rehambal Area of Udhampur district.
According to the police, Sanjay Singh son of Kapoor Singh of Rehambal consumed some poisons substance and hanged himself with ceiling fan hook at his residence in Rehambal late last night.
Family members took him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Jammu. However, he died on way to Jammu.
Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained.
Police has registered the case and started investigation.
Meanwhile, a minor girl died after she received serious burn injuries while playing in kitchen at her home near Raj Theater in Udhampur.
The deceased was identified as Simran (6) daughter of Rajender Gupta.
