KATHUA, Mar 11: A youth committed suicide by hanging himself with a ceiling fan in his room this afternoon.
He has been identified as Vicky, S/o Harbans Lal of Ward No 10 Parli Ward Kathua. The family members were not present at that time at home. The neighbours after seeing the body hanging with the fan informed police which took the body into its custody.
The body was taken to DH Kathua for postmortem and after conducting of autopsy it was handed over to family for cremation. The Kathua Police has registered a case under Section 174 and started investigation. The reasons for this extreme step taken by the youth are not known.
