UDHAMPUR, Sept 16: A youth committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence, here last night.
The deceased has been identified as 22 year old Rajnesh Bharti, son of Mast Ram of Housing Colony Udhampur. He consumed some poisonous substance at his residence last night and fell unconscious. The family members noticed him in serious condition and rushed him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him dead after some time.
After completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem, Police handed over the body to family members for last rites.
Cause behind the extreme step could not be ascertained.
Meanwhile, two persons were injured when a load carrier rolled down at Gandla road, Udhampur. The injured were identified as Raj Singh (26), son of Ajmer Singh, resident of Rajpura, Patiala and Sham Lal (40), son of Chatru Ram of Saketar, Katra.
