JAMMU, Dec 8: A young boy allegedly committed suicide today by consuming poison in Akhnoor area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the boy identified as Happy Kumar son of Ram Lal, a resident of Akhnoor, consumed some poisonous substance at his residence today following which he was rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu by the family members.
However, the boy expired there during treatment. After conducting postmortem, the body of the boy was handed over to his legal heirs. Akhnoor police had taken cognizance of the matter.
