JAMMU, May 25: A youth allegedly committed suicide today by consuming some poisonous substance in Sidhra area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, a young man identified as Pawan Sharma (24) son of Sarban Kumar, resident of Kanna Chargal, consumed some poisonous substance this morning at his residence. He said Pawan was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he passed away at about 1.25 PM.
“The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter and handed over the body to its legal heirs after completion of all medico-legal formalities,” the official added.
