UDHAMPUR, June 7: A youth committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance while a 7- year old girl sustained severe electric shock when she came in contact with an 11 KV supply line fell, which had fallen on ground due to windstorm at Ramnagar.
According to the police reports, Rakesh Kumar (19), son of Kaka Ram of Krimchi, Udhampur, consumed some poisonous substance at his house last night. The family members rushed him to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors declared him as brought dead.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
7- year old Narsima, daughter of Pushpak of Ramnagar sustained severe electric shock when she came in contact with an 11 KV wire, which had fallen from electric pole because of wind storm. The victim was rushed to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar where doctors referred her to GMC Hospital Jammu.
Meanwhile, one Sudhir Singh (64), son of Vidhya Singh of village Sanpura, District Chattra in Jharkhand, who was working as helper with the JCB of Sri Sai Construction Company and was doing night duty at the construction site, was found dead inside the cabin of JCB, this morning. In this regard, inquest proceedings have been initiated and dead body was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur.
