JAMMU, Oct 15: A 20-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide in Janipur area of city outskirts today.
Police sources said that a youth identified as Mohd Sami son of Mohd Yasir, resident of Mendhar (at present living in a PG) at Gujjar Mohalla, Janipur (Jammu) allegedly consumed some poisonous substance in his room this afternoon.
They said the youth was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he expired at about 3: 20 PM. “The body of the deceased was sent for postmortem while Janipur Police had taken cognizance of the matter,” sources added.
