JAMMU, May 13: An 18-year old youth today made abortive bid on his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in RS Pura.
According to police sources, the youth identified as Rahul Singh (18) son of Jagdish Singh, a resident of Koshalpur (RS Pura) today consumed some poisonous substance at his residence following which he was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
Similarly, in Udhampur district, a young girl identified as Preeti (24) daughter of Chotu Ram of Bhatgiri (Ramnagar) tried to end her life by consuming some poisonous substance at her home after which she was shifted to District Hospital Udhampur. But, later she was referred to GMCH, Jammu.
The condition of both the persons was stated to be stable till the last reports came in. In both cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
