JAMMU, Apr 23: A youth who had consumed some poisonous substance, died today at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
“The deceased has been identified as Sunil Kumar (23) son of Mohan Lal, resident of Sahnoo (Dansal). He was shifted to GMCH Jammu yesterday after he allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his residence,” a police official said.
He said that the youth died today at about 1.20 pm and after postmortem, his body was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while inquest proceeding in this connection was initiated at police station Jhajjar Kotli.
