UDHAMPUR, Feb 14: A youth delegation led by Ankush Teji met the state secretary Priti Khajuria and district president DPAP Ashwani and highlighted major issues/problems of Udhampur town.
While speaking Teji raised the issue of Devika sewerage project. He stated that majority of the lanes and roads in town were in bad shape. Elderly people, school going children and people are the major sufferers by the negligence of UEED and contractor. Everywhere there is dust, big potholes in town and in rainy days the situation becomes more worse.
They highlighted the issue of frequent power cuts which effects their studies. They told if we pay monthly electric charges then why there is frequent power failures. PHE water supply was another big problem as majority of the areas in Udhampur town are effected with acute water shortage. They also raised the issue of worst conditions of the local stadium.
They expressed resentment over the non- cooperation by PWD authorities for not constructing protection wall of the graveyard in Christan Colony, Udhampur.
Ashwani and Priti Khajuria listened carefully their genuine demands and assured them that they will take up the same with the Deputy Commissioner Udhampur.
