KATHUA, Aug 2: A youth died after receiving an electric shock at his residence in village Logate in Kathua district this evening.
He has been identified as Rohit Jasrotia, 23, son of Surinder Singh. Reports said that he was working on inverter which had developed a snag when he received the electric shock suddenly and died.
His body has been shifted to District Hospital, Kathua for postmortem which will be conducted tomorrow morning after which the body will be handed over to family members for last rites.
The police has registered a case under relevant sections of the law and started investigation.
