People protest, block road for 4 hrs

NOWSHERA, June 2: People held strong protest and blocked Jammu-Rajouri highway at Kallar when a youth was killed after a BSF vehicle hit motorcycle in the same area today.
Official sources said that the pillion rider namely  Saqib Malik, son of Mohd Iqbal, resident of Kallar,  Chingus  was riding bike at Kallar Gala and got seriously injured as his bike was hit by a speeding BSF vehicle.
He was immediately shifted to GMC Rajouri for treatment. During treatment he succumbed to  injuries. Dr Mehmood Hussain Bajar, Medical Superintendent   GMC Rajouri said that he had multiple injuries due to which he died and after postmortem dead body was handed over to family.
After that the relatives of the deceased  placed the dead body at Kallar Chowk and blocked Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch highway for four hours. They held a strong protest against District Administration and BSF. The protest was led by Parvaiz Khan Sarpanch Dalogra and  Ashok Kumar Bama Sarpanch Dhanwa.
ACR Rajouri Imran Rashid Kataria, DSP Operation  Paropkar Singh and SHO Rajouri Shoket Hussain reached the spot and pacified the protestors and announced that an amount of 50,000 will be paid by District Administration from Red  Cross Fund and one lakh will be paid by  BSF to the victim family. Locals were  demanding job for family as they have no earning hand in the family for which administration have taken time of four days.
