JAMMU, Apr 29: A young man died today due to electrocution in Bishnah area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, the deceased has been identified as Gulshan Sharma (27) son of Darshan Lal, resident of Patyari (Bishnah). He said the youth received severe electric shock with an electric motor after which he fell unconscious.
“In unconscious condition, the victim was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors,” the official said, adding after postmortem, the body was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC was initiated at police station Bishnah.
