Youth dies in firing

KATHUA, Nov 3: A 38-year-old villager was killed in mysterious firing at remote Malhar village in Billawar tehsil of district Kathua today.
The deceased has been identified as Mohd Aslam, son of Mohd Sharief, resident of village Lohai-Malhar. According to family sources, Aslam had gone for hunting with his licensed .12 bore gun. Due to accidental fire, he sustained injuries on lower part of stomach and thighs.
The police said the victim with serious injuries was shifted to Billawar hospital from Malhar but he succumbed to injuries due to excessive bleeding. He said the gun has been seized and the investigation started into the case. The body was sent for postmortem. He said though family clamied it as case of accidental fire but the possibility of any foul play can not be ruled out.
