DODA, July 12: A youth died under mysterious circumstances, here. However, the parents demanded probe into the death of their son.
As per police sources, a youth identified as Mehmood Matoo (21), son of Barkat Ali Matoo of Soti was found unconscious near the bank of river Gandoh yesterday evening.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the youth to Primary Health Centre (PHC) Gandoh and later referred to District Hospital Doda, where he failed to respond to the treatment and died late last night.
The body of the deceased has been handed over to family members for last rites after conducting autopsy.
The parents said that their son had gone to Gandoh to make RBA certificate and to get leave sanctioned in favour of her sister-in-law from ZEO Bhallesa.
They demanded probe into the death of their son.
A case in this regard has been registered at Gandoh police station and investigation started.
