POONCH, Oct 29: The police today registered an FIR against a private contractor and MES/PDD authorities at Mendhar Police Station after a youth working in an Army unit in Krishna Ghati area died due to electric shocks last evening.
Official sources said that 32 year-old Rahul Kumar, son of Subash Chander, resident of Bishnah was working with a private contractor Afzal Hussain, hailing from Galuta area of Mendhar. Contractor’s services related electric works were hired by the local Army unit/ MES authorities in Krishna Ghati area. This youth received electric shocks during work and was died while being shifted to Poonch hospital last evening.
Mendhar police today registered an FIR No. 252/ 2020 under section 304-A IPC against the contractor Afzal Hussain Sha, son of Nassar Hussain Shah of Galuta and MES/PDD authorities concerned. SHO Mendhar Manzoor Kohli said that after the registration of a case, investigation has been started.
