JAMMU, Nov 7: Apni Party provincial president Jammu and former Minister, Manjit Singh today said that disheartened youth have lost hopes with BJP amid growing unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing a meeting which was organised by provincial secretary Youth Wing, Vishal Jotshi, the former Minister said that it was unfortunate to note that the youth who want to open some industrial units and get the land allotted to them have to face harsh attitude of the authorities whereas the outsiders are facilitated by the same authorities.
“The disheartening attitude of the officials has become a routine and it has disappointed the younger generation who applied for Government jobs, but did not get it. Even if some got the job, the recruitment surfaced as a major scam making the selected lot of the aspirants unemployed,” he said.
He said that “The situation is alarming in view of the growing unemployment and no headway with regard to employment opportunities. The BJP which used to claim to be the sole champion of Jammu has failed on all fronts and it has left people in complete hopelessness and alienated.”
He said that “The unemployed youth have become overaged and some of them have adopted a different way to establish their units in the industrial sector, the Government especially the bureaucracy harasses them and it again discourages the unemployed youth from the schemes which were launched for them.”
He said that “The launch of schemes of the unemployed youth to open industrial units is a different thing, but helping the local unemployed youth with easy process and in allotment of land will win their confidence. However, the Government has done nothing on the ground to empower the unemployed youth.”
He said that the unexpected situation has exposed the false slogans and promises of BJP and other traditional political parties. Therefore, the people and the youth in particular have come close to the Apni Party.
He said that “If Apni Party forms the next Government, we are committed to deliver justice to the people of both the regions.
Prominent among those who attended the meeting includes provincial vice president and Ex-MLA Faqir Nath, SC State coordinator, Bodh Raj Bhagat, State general secretary Youth, Abhay Bakaya, provincial president Youth Wing, Vipul Bali, provincial president Legal Wing, Vikram Rathore and others.
