UDHAMPUR, June 11: A youth drowned while taking bath in Tawi river near Dilwas Bridge Toldi Nallah, around 12 kms from Udhampur town.
Identity of the drowned youth was established as Amit Kumar (28), son of Bishan Dass, resident of Joshana, Tehsil Drabshala, Kishtwar District.
Reports said that the deceased along with his friend was taking bath in the Tawi river when he slipped into deep water, this afternoon, around 3 pm. Click here to watch video
On being informed, SHO Udhampur Inspector Raghuvir Singh along with Police team reached the spot and fished out body of the deceased with the help of SDRF team and locals.
Later, the body was sent for postmortem while inquest proceeding Under Section 174 CrPC has been initiated in this connection.
