AKHNOOR, July 6: A youth was electrocuted at Jourian in Akhnoor Sub Division of Jammu last evening.
The police identified the deceased as Tony (26), son of Late Pritam Chand, resident of Potha Colony, Jourian. The incident took place when the youth was working with the inverter installed at his home. Suddenly, he received severe electric shocks and sustained serious burn injuries.
He was rushed to Jourian hospital where medical staff referred him to Akhnoor Hospital. He was declared as brought dead by the doctors. The locals said that about six years back, his father had also died under similar circumstances.
