SAMBA, Aug 8: A youth died due to electric shock after he tried to operate the pump in his field this morning in village Khawada in Samba district. The deceased has been identified as Naresh Kumar (35), son of Ram Lal.
According to the information received, Naresh Kumar went to apply water in his fields in the morning. As soon as he extended his hand to operate the pump, he received an electric shock and died on the spot. Local people and family members brought him to Samba Hospital where after post-mortem the body was handed over to his family members after legal formalities. The police has registered a case in this regard.
