RAJOURI, May 16: A youth committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Ward No. 7 of Rajouri town here this evening.
The deceased has been identified as Ravinder Kumar, son of Balak Ram, resident of Ward No. 7, Rajouri. The youth allegedly consumed some poisonous stuff at his residence at around 6.30 pm. The family members found him in serious condition in his room and rushed to District hospital. The doctors started treatment but he died after some time. The police registered a case under Section 174 CrPC and started investigation. The reason behind this extreme step could not be known.
