UDHAMPUR, Mar 10: A youth committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Kanah, Ramnagar.
A police spokesman said that Balwan Singh (28), son of Ishar Dass Thakur, resident of village Kanah, Tehsil Ramnagar, consumed some poisonous substance at his residence. The family members noticed him in serious condition and rushed him to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar where he did not respond to the treatment and died after some time.
Later, the police after completion of all the legal formalities and postmortem handed over the dead body to family members for last rites.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while a case has been registered in this connection for further investigation.
