UDHAMPUR, Sept 28: In an apparent case of suicide, a youth was found hanging from a tree near his house at village Lansi Dabrah in Udhampur.
The deceased was identified as Riaz Mohd (26), son of Nek Mohd, a resident of Lansi, Dabrah Morh Udhampur. He was found hanging from a tree under mysterious circumstances.
On being informed by the locals, a Police party from PS Udhamur, led by SHO Chaman Gorkha, rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to District Hospital for the postmortem. After completion of all the legal formalities, the body was handed over to the legal heirs for the last rites.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Udhampur Police have registered the case in this connection for further investigation.
