UDHAMPUR, June 27: In an apparent case of suicide, a youth was found hanging from a tree near his house at Roundomail near Udhampur town while a middle aged man was found dead at villager Joffer in Ramnagar.
Reports said that Ranjit Singh (26), son of Romesh Singh of Ward number 5 Roundomail Udhampur, was found hanging from a tree under mysterious circumstances.
Some locals spotted the body hanging from tree and immediately informed the Police. Police shifted the dead body to District Hospital for the postmortem and other legal formalities.
For further investigation into the case and ascertaining the cause of death, a case under section 174 CrPC has been registered at Police Station Udhampur.
Meanwhile, Police today recovered a man’s dead body at village Joffer in Ramnagar. The deceased was identified as Shello Ram (43), son of Anant Ram of village Joffer. He was found dead on roadside under mysterious circumstances.
Ramnagar Police shifted the dead body to Sub District Hospital Ramnagar for the postmortem and registered a case in this connection for further investigation. Cause of death could not be ascertained.
