JAMMU, Aug 30: A youth committed suicide by hanging himself from ceiling fan hock at his house in Chakhar, here today, under the jurisdiction of Udhampur Police Station.
The deceased, identified as Anil Kumar (24), son of Ved Parkash of village Chakhar, Udhampur, was found hanging from the ceiling fan hock under mysterious circumstances, this morning.
Family members spotted him hanging and immediately called the Police, which rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to hospital for postmortem and other legal formalities.
Cause behind taking the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police has registered a case in this connection for further investigation.
