JAMMU, Feb 26: A 30-year-old youth died after he fell from a moving bus in Bishnah town here today.
Vikram Lakhotra son of Mohan Lal of Chorli Colony, Bishnah, was sitting at top of bus that was on its way from Arnia towards Jammu, a police official said, adding, he (deceased) slipped off the bus at Harsa Dabbar area around 8:45 am, resulting in serious injuries to him.
He was taken to a hospital, where doctors declared him as dead on arrival, said the police spokesperson.
He said the body has been shifted to the mortuary of the hospital for conducting the post-mortem while a case under the relevant sections of the law has been registered at Bishnah Police Station and further investigation taken up.
