DODA, Aug 12: A youth was feared dead after falling into river Chenab, here today.
As per police sources, a youth identified as Bittu Kumar, son of Swami Raj, a resident of Kalchanda area of Drabshalla, District Kishtwar was on his way to Doda from Drabshalla when the motorcycle bearing registration number JK17-8592 he was riding slipped on the road and the youth fell into river Chenab near Prem Nagar, here.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and divers were pressed in to fish out the body of the youth from the river.
The body of the youth was not fished out from the river and it was assumed that the rider is feared dead.
A case under FIR Number 58/2020 under relevant sections has been registered at Thathri Police Station and investigation started.
