KATRA, Apr 15: A youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a hotel room, here today.
The deceased was identified as Rohit Singh, age around 23 years, son of Angrez Singh, resident of Maghal, tehsil Katra. He was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a room of hotel Royal Stay in Ward number 3 of Katra.
The deceased was working in a dry fruit shop in Katra and had stayed in the hotel room where he was found dead this morning.
Even as Police was tightlipped over the cause of death, sources said that it was an apparent case of drug overdose. On being informed by the hotel staff, Police shifted the dead body to hospital for postmortem and other legal formalities.
A case has been registered in this connection at Katra Police Station for the further investigation.
